“Success is only the beginning” written on the wall of his bedroom serves as a reminder for Junior Garrison that is journey in music is one without limits. At an early age Junior Garrison displayed a unique interest in music, which is of course natural for the son of a musician and great recording artiste of the early ‘90s General Pecos who is popularly known for his controversial song ‘body workshop’.
It was after leaving high school and being exposed to Fruity Loops music software Junior Garrison realized he had an innate talent to produce musical beats. His talent to write and perform music followed surely as night follows day. Born Lloyd Anderson in March 1990, Junior Garrison grew up in a volatile community downtown where music was an escape route and his means of expressing how he saw the world and how great he believed he could be. He had adopted the name garrison as his stage name to remind himself and others of where he is coming from meanwhile he proves just how far one can go.
His unique and exceptional style in dancehall and reggae music is greatly influenced by his upbringing listening to the likes of Alton Ellis, Percy Sledge, Berris Hammond, Michael Jackson, Donnie Hathaway, only to name a few. A prodigy is most likely what he is, making strides to greater success in music with already working with some of the biggest names in the industry such as Sizzla kalonji, Jah snow cone, T.O.K., Cecile, Khago, Mr. Vegas, Anthony B, Steven Stanley and the list goes on. A true hit among his peers destined to create hits for his ever-growing number of fans. Junior Garrison is surely to be a leader at the fore front of the industry taking truly authentic Jamaican music to corners of the world where our music has never ventured before.
